For 10$ per month, you get access not only to Lightroom mobile, but also to Photoshop CC and Lighroom for desktop. Lightroom for the iPad is a free download, but only for those who are subscribed to Adobe’s Creative Cloud service. For example, if you start editing a photo on your iPad, you can continue exactly where you left off on the desktop. All changes are seamlessly and losslessly transferred between devices. Then, using your Creative Cloud account, it syns your collections back and forth, letting you edit pictures on the go and making sure you always see the latest version of a photo. The app works on its own, but it shows its true potential when connected to your computer. The power of Lightroom mobile lies not in features, but functionality it offers. More advanced editing tools are said to arrive in upcoming updates. The app can also crop and apply Adobe’s built-in tone presets to your photographs as well as import RAW files (which are earlier converted and compressed) and display image details such as histogram. It allows you to edit pictures saved in your catalogue using a range of tools exposure, color temperature, highlights, shadows, and saturation are just to name a few. Just like its desktop counterpart, Lightroom mobile is a powerful photo editing and organizing application. Here’s yet another reason to ditch your old laptop in favour of a tablet: Adobe’s Lightroom app is now available on the iPad.
